Local organizations are encouraged and invited to add programming to the calendar by filling out the online form (link below).
Programs must be in South Georgian Bay for in-person activities, or within Simcoe County for virtual activities, open to the general public, free or low cost, and suitable for older adults 65+.

MatureMinds
Connects older adults to community services and supports them through the process. Simcoe County residents are eligible. Self-referrals are welcome. No ID is required. There is no cost to participants thanks to our generous program funders.

Elder Care Navigation – Connecting residents to community services and supporting them in the process.
Virtual Care for Carers – A workshop series for elder caregivers who are feeling stress and anxiety.
Social Visiting – A program connecting older adults to volunteers for casual companionship.
Slow Cooker Club – An interactive cooking experience highlighting recipes designed for a slow cooker.
GrandPals – A mentoring program with intergenerational learning, storytelling and friendship.
SLOT for older adults to stay active indoors during the COVID-19 pandemic
RX for Physical Activity
Treat physical activity like a daily dose of medicine!

Across Canada, older adults have accounted for a significant percentage of COVID cases, COVID-related hospitalizations and COVID-related deaths.
COVID-19 restrictions have taken a significant toll on many of us, leading to social isolation and Confinement Syndrome. Confinement Syndrome impacts physical and mental wellbeing, functional status and caregiver health and wellbeing.
